Longsdon memorial hall is a community hall in the heart of Longsdon, it is a large open hall that is used for a wide range of activities. Built in 1920 the hall has served a multitude of purposes, it was first built as a one storey stone building in memory of those who had lost their lives serving between 1914-1918 in WW1. The original plaque was inscribed with the names of 15 servicemen from the Longsdon parish who had lost their lives.
By 1926 the hall had become the home of the Longsdon women's institute and by 1945 it was the home of the Longsdon Amateur Dramatics Society (LADS)
To this day, the hall is still used as a memorial to those brave servicemen and women who lost their lives at war during between 1914-1945.
